Check out what some members of our executive team had to say about MWIL and feminism(s) presented by the Arts Undergraduate Society of McGill University.
MWIL would like to invite self-identifying female McGill students to join us for an inspired discussion on women’s issues, rights, and voices in today’s sociopolitical context. In light of the recent U.S. election, we recognize that several of us may feel targeted, unrepresented, or at the very least, divided in thought. We encourage the constructive exploration of these issues in an inclusive environment that strives to recognize female resilience and solidarity.
As a campus group led by women for the empowerment of women, we feel that now more than ever is the time to reflect and rely on each other for support. To our female student leaders and leaders-in-the-making, we hope to see you there.
Join us this Thursday, October 23rd at 19:30 in room M5-37A in McLennan, for the 2nd session of MWIL Talks: The Gender Pay Gap Edition. As per usual, you are invited to join us in discussing this topic in a friendly and comfortable environment! Come share and debate your opinion on the subject.
This week’s topic was inspired by the recent controversial comments made by Microsoft chief executive, Satya Nadella. Click here to refresh your memory.

Looking forward to seeing you this Thursday!
Join us this Wednesday (Oct. 8) for the first session of MWIL Talks!
MWIL Talks is a series of bi-weekly events where we welcome everyone to participate in informed discussions and debates about current events relating to women and female empowerment. This week’s topic will be Emma Watson’s recent He for She speech at the United Nations, and the backlash/praise it has received.
