Introducing this week’s Woman of the Week, Afreen Aliya!
When asked what leadership means to her, she says:
“For me, leadership is defined by 3 concepts: guiding the team with a goal in mind, dealing with difficult and risky situations, and pushing the limit. A leader is able to bring a team together and motivate them to work towards a common goal. One should always try to create a positive atmosphere for their team and foster a strong bond with them. When faced with a challenge, a good leader has to be able to establish a supporting team spirit and environment. The functioning of the team is seamless when everyone gets along well. Additionally, a leader is able to bring out the best in their teammates to reach new horizons. All in all, I believe a good leader is someone who has an optimistic attitude, high self-esteem and encourages the team to work towards a bigger and a better future.”
