Communications Portfolio: Photo/Videographer & Translator

MWIL is looking for a photographer and videographer to assist the VP Communications in the creation of social media posts and photographing events.

Time commitment: Flexible

We are also looking for a director who can translate listserv and event material from English to French on a regular basis.

Fundraising Portfolio: Directors

MWIL is looking for devoted, responsible and reliable individuals to help with the Fundraising Portfolio.

As a Director, your job will be to help the VP Fundraising with several fundraisers by doing the following: handling table bookings, collaborating to find creative fundraisers ideas, selling food/tickets and any other type of assistance.

Outreach Portfolio: Directors

The Outreach portfolio is responsible for establishing opportunities for work/community engagement with organizations in the Montreal community. We generally emphasize outreach initiatives that encourage the inclusivity and diversity of women with different backgrounds, such as our partnership with the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal (NWSM). Our goal this year is to expand our partnership with NWSM and establish new outreach initiatives with other organizations this year.

Sponsorship Portfolio: Directors

The key goal of the Sponsorship team this year is too attain and create lasting relationships with a variety of different sponsors. Sponsorship goes far beyond simply a monetary commitment – our sponsors are key partners in many of our events and endeavours and are often incredible role models that have a wealth of knowledge.

Within this portfolio we will be reaching out and working with a variety of business’ and organizations to attain sponsorship for our various events and in particular our annual conference in second semester. Being a part of the sponsorship portfolio is an amazing opportunity, as you will be able to hone your communication skills, learn how to pitch, make connections with various Montreal businesses, and most importantly you will gain a support system of like minded young women who will be there alongside you throughout your MWIL journey!

Mentorship Portfolio: Directors

Mentorship is looking for motivated directors with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. As a director you will be initiating and facilitating mentorships between McGill students and professionals in and around Montreal. The mentorship program was new last year and we are excited to be continuing and improving it this year.

If you would like to be a part of the mentorship team, send in a letter of intent detailing why you are suited to the role and a CV with any relevant experience you may have to:


Events Portfolio: Directors

The Events Portfolio is responsible for organizing the different events McGill Women in Leadership holds for the student body. Organizing events requires not only recruiting and communicating with different speakers, but also collaborating with different executives on MWIL to handle the logistics.

The Events Portfolio handles confirming room bookings, refreshments, producing itineraries for the event, updating the speakers, and ensuring the events run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
