Join us to meet the 2015-16 MWIL executive team, hear about what kind of events to expect during the upcoming school year, and to learn about the various director/volunteer positions you can apply for. In addition, we will be discussing the opportunity to participate in our beta mentorship program!
APPLY NOW: Events Directors & Volunteers
The VP Events is welcoming applications to become an events director/volunteer from all fields of study. Directors will be contacted for an interview this week if you meet the criteria.
Time Commitment: Weekly meetings, attendance at all MWIL events, preparation for all MWIL events (about 5 hours a week)
Responsibilities include organizing our annual Trailblazers’ Testimonies Conference, crafting the themes and the formats of the events, coordinating with the team of volunteers for each event, contacting speakers, etc.
Time Commitment: FlexibleResponsibilities include attendance at events including a two-hour working shift, being available to help out at fundraising events and external volunteer commitments

The MWIL Sponsorship Porftolio is looking for directors! Selected applicants will help the VP Sponsorship to encourage organizations within and outside the McGill community to sponsor the diverse events we hold. This involves drafting sponsorship packages specific to niche targets, pitching to small and large businesses to generate interest and expand the audience of the MWIL, and meeting monthly revenue deadlines to ensure the prosperity of these events and the running of the organization.
Portfolio members embody and represent the qualities and image of the MWIL to target businesses and organizations outside of the community, and serve as the primary point of contact for companies with financial and promotional interest in these events. MWIL is looking for enthusiastic, responsible and driven individuals to join our Fundraising team in the following roles:
The Fundraising Director assists VP Fundraising with organizing various fundraisers. Duties include helping to manage table bookings, contacting vendors, constructing creative fundraisers and aid in other areas when needed.
Duties include being available as needed to sell food/tickets, assisting with organizing larger fundraisers.

APPLY NOW: MWIL Mentorship Program
This year, MWIL is starting a mentorship program for McGill students! We are looking for people who are interested in helping out with the program, as well as those we are interested in participating in the program.
Helping out with the program would include contacting possible mentors and mentees as well as facilitating this relationship. Since this is the first year of the program, we also need help recruiting mentors. Contacts with professional women at McGill and in the Montreal area are a bonus!
